| This bow once belonged to Nilon Redleaf, a warrior from a small village of halflings in Shaar. While he was out hunting for a village harvest day, Moander decided to poison the community's harvest wine with a deadly plague - as a result, Nilon returned to find everyone in his village dead or dying, and could do nothing but watch as his whole family succumbed to the evil god's trick. Full of rage and grief, Nilon cursed the halfling pantheon for their inability to protect his people, and swore revenge on the greater gods for turning a blind eye to Moander's vile deed. The young halfling traveled far across the Realms, honing his skills and searching for a way to exact revenge. When he heard of Akachi's Crusade, he begged to be included, and fought with great abandon - falling at last at the very gates of the City of Judgment, next to the walls he'd sworn to bring down. His desire for vengeance persists on after death, inhabiting the nature of his favorite bow and imbuing every arrow it touches with his rage. |
