| A favored soul of the god Shaundakul, Merina Longstrider was a sun elf regarded as an anomaly amongst her peers. Though it might have seemed a cruel trick that the Windrider would smile and bestow his wanderlust on someone from such an insular culture, it never seemed to bother Merina: her heart lay in the road ahead of her, and even after she left, her longing to discover new things and uncover new mysteries stayed with many of the young elves of Evermeet. The day she struck out on her own to wander the Realms, these boots appeared on the road, new and finely-crafted, and she knew at once they were meant for her. That these boots are no longer on Merina's feet does not mean her tale has ended - perhaps she merely traded them for a newer or more interesting pair. |
