| Taken from the ruins of Shandaular - now known as the City of Weeping Ghosts - this item is actually two separate rings fused together by an unbreakable magical bond. Its sad tale springs from Shandaular's final night, when the city was crushed. Two mages - both skilled in the Art, and both deeply in love with the other - swore that if one of them perished, they would bind their soul into a ring so that they could be with the other forever. Tragically, the two were killed at the same moment, and their souls were each sealed away... But the second part of the promise held, and the rings fused themselves together, holding fast to some the magical powers each had in life, and allowing each of the mages to rise as undead forms to protect the rings' user. |
