Walkthrough

When you talk to Techsmith 99, he'll tell you that the train is ready to go, but that "something real big" is in the way, and he'll ask you to clear the tracks. The techsmith will also let you know that Brandon Lann and Aeron Altair survived the attacks and are in the train.

You'll need to clear the tracks in front of the train (you can also go behind the train if you want, but this is optional). For the most part, you'll just encounter enemies that you've faced before, but every so often you'll also come up against rancid hulks. Rancid hulks start out shielded, but they'll drop their shields for a few seconds when you get to within 15m of them. They're also immobile, and they'll only use a short-range poison attack, so the easiest way to deal with them is to approach them (to lower their shields), then back away while firing at them (to damage them while avoiding their poison), and then repeat until they're dead. Rancid hulks are pretty easy as far as boss demons go.

Once you've killed five rancid hulks, you'll get a transmission from Lord Arphaun stating that the train is now rolling. For best results, you should get off the tracks before accepting the transmission, or else the train will probably run you over and kill you. The transmission will also signal the end of the current quest and the start of the next quest, Brotherly Love.
