Background

You'll trigger this quest by reading the note "Notice from the Ducal Camerlengo," which you can find on every notice board in Toussaint.


Walkthrough

From the note, you'll learn that the ducal camerlengo (aka treasurer) in Beauclair is offering "bounteous rewards" to knights errant for certain deeds. When you visit the camerlengo in his office in Beauclair (#1), he'll give you no less than 15 tasks to complete:

• Defeat a trio of giant centipedes at Hortense Vineyard (#2).
  
  
• Save a knight errant from bandits (#3).
  
  
• Defeat a cyclops at Coopers' Slope (#4).
  
  
• Defeat archespores at Cutterin Manor (#5).
  
  
• Free Fox Hollow from bandits (#6).
  
  
• Clear an underground hanse base of bandits, including their leader Loth Halfbreed (#7).
  
  
• Save a knight errant from bandits (#8).
  
  
• Free the Silver Salamander Inn from bandits (#9).
  
  
• Clear a hanse base of bandits, including their leader Antoin "Starling" Straggen (#10).
  
  
• Rescue a clerk from bandits at Villa Vedette (#11).
  
  
• Defeat a werewolf at Basane Farm (#12).
  
  
• Clear a hanse base of bandits, including their leader Filibert Fourfingers (#13).
  
  
• Save a knight errant from bandits (#14).
  
  
• Rescue a merchant from bandits (#15).
  
  
• Defeat several bandits at Freinte Docks (#16).

Each time you complete a task, the camerlengo will set aside 100 crowns for you. You can pick up your money as you go, or you can wait until the very end and grab all 1500 crowns at once. For completing the quest, you'll also receive an unnamed Trophy plus 300 xp.
