Bleak and dusty, Curst’s little more than a collection of shanties perched on the edge of Carceri, where those exiled from elsewhere on the Outlands dream out their bitter lives.
1 - Traitor's Gate Tavern
This is the Traitor's Gate Tavern, where a majority of the quests in Curst originate from. See our Traitor's Gate Tavern section for more information.
2 - Hidden Items
Search this back alley for a Whispering Flask and a Displacer Ring.
3 - Silo Fiend
This is a grain silo that has no significance until you've spoken with Dona Quisho in the Traitor's Gate Tavern. She will ask that you free a fiend within the silo. Head to the second floor of the silo and summon the fiend using the scroll she gave you.
At this point, you have three choices. First, you can offer to release the fiend to gain the Heartgrinder Axe. Secondly, you can just kill the fiend to loot the axe (which will still get you the same amount of experience when you return to Dona Quisho). Thirdly, you can choose to not release the fiend and return to Dona Quisho for the same experience bonus (although you'll miss out on the axe).
4 - Plotting Wife
A woman named Roberta stands in this vicinity. Talk with her to learn that she plans to murder her unfaithful husband. Other than that, I don't believe she has any importance.
5 - Curst Caretaker
You'll meet the caretaker of the Curst dump here. He will tell you about some problems he's having with some local thugs in Inner Curst.
Head to Inner Curst and speak with the thug leader, who will be very uncooperative. When you return to the caretaker, the thug leader and his crew will show up and you'll be forced to fight them. This is part of the quest that Nabat gives you in the Traitor's Gate Tavern.
6 - Exit
This exit leads down to Curst Underground.
7 - Crumplepunch the Blacksmith
Crumplepunch tell you about a dispute between him and his brother, Kester the distiller (in Inner Curst). Compare Crumplepunch and Kester's papers (you'll have to ask for each one), and then make a decision on which brother owns what. This decision affects the quest Kitla sends you on in the Traitor's Gate Tavern.
Crumplepunch will also sell you some nice equipment, which you'll find listed in the table below. Once you've purchased everything you would want from him, search his chest to find the Axe of the Jester and some Magic Punch Daggers. This will make him hostile, so make sure you purchase anything you want from his store and complete his quest first.
8 - Exit
This exit leads to Inner Curst.
