How did you not get the hold from her? When you finish the quest by smiting the trolls in the basement, you return and talk to the major domo and then he and Nalia decide to let you run the place if you play your dialogue tree right. Simple. If you did all that but Nalia still didn't give you the hold, sounds like a serious glitch to me.

Well thanks, that solves my problem,, i did not go and talk to the Majordome,, we just left the interior of the castle. I wonder of what followed next for me happened to everyone else.. when i left the interior of the castle, i went to the courtyard. their Nalia talked to me and gave me the reward and experience points.. the then talked as if she wanted to give me the castle,, but changed her mind,, then agreed to accompany us further,, strange, so i never got the castle.. next we advanced in levels so rearranged spells etc and decided to sleep their the night.. upon waking Jahira was attacked by a bad bunch,, tried to slit her throat and\or kidnap her.. well we fought and won,, and saved her.. but a hard fought battle with much magic.. their were six in the gang.. anyway i tried this scenario a couple of times, trying to get the castle,, and one of the times, we attacked the head mage very intensly,,, and the other five just stood by and refused to join the battle...their base markers remained light blue,, neutral.. well i wonder if i persued that storyline, would they show up later and remember us? Then we left the castle by way of the drawbridge,, i remember thinking,, i wan't about to leave the place anyway but by the main entrance(which is why i never saw the majordome) and their on the bridge was the local lord,, the betrothed of Nalia, making snide remarks about rifraff, and get the gone,, hehe with Nalia on me arm!! anyway, back to a saved game and get the castle...

My paladin is a cavalier too..but he definitely IS a fighter so this must be a bug. Anyway did you find the majordomo?

Paladins are warriors, but only fighters (normal, kensai, berzerker, wizard slayer), monks and barbarians are fighters for stronghold purposes.

Paladins get a different stronghold.

Thanks Nighthawk you did help me.
I was getting crazy..as you probably can see i'm not of english language and in my localized version there is a little confusion between fighters and warriors .
