Postby Base » Thu Mar 01, 2001 1:15 pm

Is it possible at all to look like the Drows in Baldurs Gate II? Is there any file or what so ever to download, so you can look like them? And the Shadow Thieves also..

With the Shadow Keeper editor you can give your character the look of just about anything that's in the game.I think you can get it from here www.teambg.com

Yes, the Shadowkeeper utility allows you change the animation of the player avatars. You can look like a drow, shadowthief, beholder and whatever.

Just run a search for Shadowkeeper and you'll find the download site fast enough.

Try back combing your hair and painting your face blue ! Seriously though i saw a post some time ago that mentioned a way to leave the underdark and remain a Drow,i can't remember the exact method though.
However i suspect you want your in game characters to look Drowish rather than your paper doll.I'm sure theres a way..

It was something like, let your party members die as drow and resserect them after they are out of the underdark.

To make a character a true Drow, does anybody with ADD experience tell us what are suposedly the great Underdark powers we need to add through Shadowkeeper to make him a Drow.

Does anybody now of a good place to get the portrait of a Drow?????

drow have innate powers of globe of darkness, levitation, and a few others, none of which can be in BG2. They also lose the powers once away from the underdark since lloth supposedly gave them the powers. same as their equipment. they are ALL ambidextrous.

That about Lloth is bull.
They lost the special powers because they are away from the radiation of the underdark.
There are more Drow gods that Lloth.

A bit off topic, but regarding the use of other avatars through shadowkeeper, there's a catch. The avatars don't change their appearance to fit your weapons and armor (because they wouldn't in the game, would they). So this can be a bit funny. I tried using "fat man" for a fighter once. The avatar just walked around and stood still when not walking. The game, however, still measured his attacks, so he'd walk up to people and just stand there dealing out damage.

One way to get around this problem is to use an alternate avatar that has similar attack properties to your character. For instance, I just started a solo game using a female monk and am using the Bodhi avatar. The hand attacks are consistent (even if Bodhi's attacks are somewhat less graceful). I just dig the whole Vampire dominatrix look. Image
