Help with Ganth at Water Chapel

Help with Ganth at Water Chapel

Can't seem to kill this Ganth. This is my second time thru the game and I just cant seem to get rid of him.
Can someone give me some hints?

what i did was after everyone else was dead (so it couldn't keep nicking their health), i got my archer and made her keep attacking, and whenever the ganth's axe went bright red, i ran away fast. it takes forever, and you look like a chicken cause you're constantly running away, but it works.

Two strategies

1) Come back when you've got a team with a better level - go experience hunting ...

2) put everyone on manual attacks with NO magic attacks, or curses (this worked for me the first time round)

do'h...

there is nothing difficult in this game EVEN in solo playin... it just takes little bit more time if you rushing without thinking..... there is something in this game that makes her even MORE easier than it is...CHANTS, while playing with party of 2-3-4 or whatever number of characters its realy senseless to play with chants but while SOLO sometimes you need them, example GANTH problem!!! Did you ever use INSTANT POWER RECOVER chant??? Well if you didn't i bet you won't be dissapointed... TALON falls for 15 seconds with SOLO melee character using sword and shield (not even dual wielder), sooo for the ganth you just need shrine, and use the chant!!! Without it its not imposible but its innoing shooting and running and shooting... it takes forever!

P.S. If you noticed the chant is active only for 60sec (lesser for 40sec) sooo you might think is not enough time... but for those of u who dont know, you can travel through town portals DURING PAUSE GAME, so your CHANT will be on PAUSE otherwise while traveling in out of space our precious seconds are counting down and by the time you reach again back the required destination you will be without the chant! I have completed the game already with 1 char only (my main) no other party members or pets or summons... it wasn't challenge at all

If you don't mind wasting more of your time, go back to the earlier levels you have been through and try to waste more enemies to gain more experience and level up. I don't remember Ganth's level so try to be at least equal to his level or above for that matter.

TIP: Do not waste time engaging the enemies with green labels, it won't help you level up quickly.[/color][/font]

Hi,

I found killing Ganth's difficult, too...but I figured out how to beat them.

Here's how. You need a Nature mage with "Encase" activated...use the encase spell while the rest of your party attacks, and the Ganth can't buff (heal himself) everytime he swings his axe. Works like a charm. Jusy keep freezing him with encase and you will be able to whittle him down..the key is to keep him from buffing.

Ganth

Ganth can be hard to kill when alone in a basic game. How ever it gets harder at higher levels.

Near by is a optional crypt with some monsters and two rings if you solve three large puzzles. The items available after completing each puzzles will enhance the Range and Mellee player. An end ring can be used with great effect by a wizard.

Vetern Level help

When you play Vetern level and your climbing the mountian to reach valdis, you will face at least 2 Ganths at a time. And this happen twice. One way to kill two of this guys is to have a combat mage throw punishing fire (returns % of melee and ranged dam back) and have wrath of the fallen (% of damage reflected back to enemy)from a nature mage. This way you don't have to run when he starts to leech from his axe. Remember to keep your mages at a distance and the leech to damage ratio should be in your favor.
