Actually, you can use the weakest members to some advantage ... arm them with missile weapons so they don't launch into the attack, then have them leg it when the bad guys come near. You can keep several bad guys occupied chasing your runaways, or even loop back on yourself and have them run into your fighters, who will hack lumps off them for no reply. If the bad guys are fast, use Haste. I found this the only way to handle the Drowned Dead, who are ridiculously tough, but can be outrun by a sloth who can't be arsed.

"The weak shall inherit the earth" is a miss translation. it should be "The weak shall inherit DIRT". :D
