But isn't that exactly why we love her? (Does Jan really do that?)

I'm puzzled by the enthusiasm for blackrazor. You get it about 2 minutes before the end. It's good for 1, maybe 2, fights. What's the big deal?

Do you still get the quest even if you don't let him join your party? I know there is a bug if you let him join, then kick him out. I have got the gem, but did not let him join. Have I screwed the quest?

Two weapon style is great for kensais. The trick is deciding what weapons to specialize in. You get 10 proficiencies total. You will want 3 in dual wield. You can then choose between 5 in one weapon, 2 in another, or 3 in one, 4 in another. Katanas are great, but there is only one really good katana...

Nalia (in her castle): 'Why are we here when there are poor and needy to be fed?'

Patch

I have just finished the game. I used the version I bought in the store, without ever downloading any patch. I never had any major bugs or problems, yet I keep hearing references to 'the patch'. I decided not to download it because it seems to cause as many problems as it solves. What, exactly, does...

There is one superb and underrated weapon that comes in very handy for kensais. It's a short sword (sorry forget name) that enables you to cast that wizard spell that makes multiple images of yourself. It is priceless in melee combat. I got it early in the game and kept it until the end even though ...

I have just completed the game playing as a female kensai. She's a master of the sword and does not take kindly to being called a 'chick'. Seriously, playing a female character is great fun. It puts a whole new perspective on many things. For starters I gained a whole new insight into sexual harassm...

Aaaaghh! I was talking to the wrong guy in the keep. I always spoke to the man in armour by the drawbridge. He told me everything was OK for week after week. Now I have missed all those quests. Just have to play again I guess.

Cromwell. Not only does he take a whole day to do the simplest tasks, but he makes you stay around to help, and charges you for the privilege. Bodhi. Great lingerie, but silly posture. Ellesime. She looks like an old porn queen, not an elven queen. Korgan is a nasty piece of work, but his Scottish a...

I have just gone to Hell, so I guess I am close to the end. I am 105 days into the game. What puzzles me is that I have never had any subquests related to my stronghold. I just collect the rent from the D'arnise keep (I am a fighter). I thought there was meant to be an invasion or something. did I d...

Minsc. The guy is such a dozer. As soon as he met me he started to go on about the good old days when we had travelled together with Dynaheir, until she got killed. I didn't have the heart to tell him that it was me who killed her (and him too) back in BG1. Silly sod. I thought it was a computer gli...

mace of disruption

I read somewhere that the mace of disruption is in a pool of blood in Bodhi's lair. I have now killed Bodhi and checked every pool of blood, but no mace. Where is that sucker?

Good question: why no elven bards. Absurd isn't it? One has only to think of the elven bards in Tolkien (one of feanor's sons in the Silmarillion, I think it was Maedhros) to see how ridiculous this exclusion is. Who would like to hear a bard sing in a girly voice? If by girly you mean counter tenor...

Jan rocks. His dialogues are good, his thief abilities great (except for set traps), and he's not a bad mage. I would never trade him in for Yoshimo.

I'm sorry to disagree with y'all, but I think the music is excellent. Maybe not the combat music, but the location specific music. I love the middle-eastern strains of Waukeen's Parade, and there are some exquisite lute pieces in some of the noble houses. Maybe the issue is one of taste. I happen to...

No requests for my attention. I just get 500gp every week. Is something wrong? I did Spellhold a long t...
