I only seldom use two weapons at once for my characters, since the extra attack doesn't compensate for the use of a good shield. I usually put a only single slot into twohanded weapons, since the second slot only makes the weapon quicker wich the better magical weapons already are. Most my archers/c...

My take on this. As far as I know the "summon being" spells of Faerun actually teleports these beings to the casters location where they do his bidding IF this does not go completely against their own wishes. I know that the PnP style varies a lot conserning this but it's my experience that the summ...

It's a good idea to rename the finalsave folder so that you remember wich game it's from. Your character however should have been exported into a personal file wich can be imported in the eventual sequel.

Looking for Wormy Hellcars Ioun Stone patch.

It would seem that Wormy Hellcars page has been frozen over and his ioun stone patch (that lets rouges and mages use Ioun Stones as they should) is no longer available. Does anyone know an alternate site to download the ISstone.zip file? Or maybe you still have a copy of it yourselves? I'm a bit sup...

The trouble with a Drizzt soundset is that he has quite simply too few sounds to make an interesting set. It would just be endless repeatings of what few things he says in the game. I do not remember if he had other things to say in Baldur's Gate but if he did then perhaps one could merge all those ...

I'm finished with BG2, having played as all classes and almost all character combinations, and am quite simply very bored with the game. A dual classed character started out as one class and then changed to another. She or he can not advance further in the class they switched form. A multiclassed character belongs to two or three classes at the same time which are all active at once. The negative side of this is that experience gaine...

Actually the range doesn't matter Chrissy but the presence of hostiles do. Well atleast it does so when I play. http://www.gamebanshee.com/ubb/confused.gif Since the elemental always goes hostile if you break the consentration of the mage (instead of the 15% chance that's built into the spell) I got...

It regenerates pretty quickly so if you are just starting out in the game I would suggest luring the critter away from the rest with a hasted character, make that character invisible using potion or spell and quite simply leave that creature for later when you feel more prepared. I do assume that yo...

Thought I should mention the enormous regeneration speed on the werewolf and trollshape. Blast them as a mindflayer, crush them as an irongolem and heal yourself as a greater werewolf. The shapes are unfortunatly not very balanced against eachother so usually it's just a matter of these three shapes...

Not to mention Spirit Armour and Tensers Transformation. When playing a Kensai/mage I always had a spelltrigger with Blur/Mirror Image/Stoneskin so that she could immediatly get into the combat without having to cast several protective spells first. Tensers transformation on a Kensai/Mage is a bit s...

Alas I must report that there are no more forged items in the game save those already reported. The water element wa...

Oh and a Banshee, AD&D style, is nothing one would want to get close either. The spell "Wail of the Banshee" was named that for a reason. Urgh! Hate them undeads. Why can't the gods create cute and huggable monsters instead of mean and psycotich ones? Monster: From the latin word Moneo meaning warni...

The mace does work on liches, but remember that they have a monstrously low set of saving throws so it's more frequent that one actually beats them old bones to dust before they fall before the special powers of the mace.

The Tarrasque is recommended as a challange for an experienced party of characters of levels 20+. This creature is the equivalent of the Faeruns leviathan, an instrument of the gods. I will not go into boring details, as the Tarrasque has been a focus of discussion at many times, but it's a reptilel...

To my knowledge the BG2 developers altered the experience table from the core ADD rules as well as the proficency slots. The rulepack you installed goes by the core rules and allows for quicker gain of levels. This is to be expected.

The back stab multiplies the weapons damage before strength bonus and secondary damage effects are applied. This means that an assassins, or kensai/thief, gets his bonus damage multiplied but a berserker/thief doesn't multiply the berserk bonus damage. This is nothing set in stone though as I have o...

You would notice the unseeing eye pretty well I think considering that it's the only beholder that initiates the dialogue mode, even though it just speaks a curiously unwitty threath.
