It's 4 romancable NPCs. And personally, the romances are one thing of the game that I never bothered with. I like the music that play, but that's about it. To begin with, it feels very forced and unfitting. Random dialogues coming in all the wrong places. I can understand the regular banters, but ro...

Before reading, note that these mods are for powergamers such as myself. I grew tired of the characters and the story a long time ago (They're genius, but you get bored of anything after a while.) They will however definitely spice up your game if you want to take it to the next level. But note that...

Can't you use the blade of the immortal anywhere to commit suicide? I have a distinct feeling that I tried to use it straight after I got it and that ended the game, but it's been a while and I can be mistaken.

Immunity to level drain is awesome. It is pretty much the only annoying thing an Inquis can't dispel. However there are a bunch of good items and spells against it in-game. Not a lot, but enough to make the vampire threat arbitrary.

Dual-classing is my personal favoured choice. First because they can choose a kit which opens up a whole world of possibilities but also because you can dual whenever you choose, giving you complete control of the balance between the classes. For example, dualling a cleric to a mage at the right lev...

With The Eclipse Ritual my quibble is the same as with many other encounters in the game- only worse, the AI can react before you. Normally that is not really a problem, as you have the possibility to prepare, IE you *know* that the room you are about to enter is full of nefarious villains, so you ...

For being able to dispel generally speaking anything in the game, that is a minor drawback.

If it's a power test, the Inquisitor definitely wins it. His dispel magic affects twice his current level, meaning that at level 20 it has an affect level of 40. Compare that to Carsomyrs dispelling on hit ability which is, iirc, 10 and 20 upgraded. An Inquisitor's Dispel ability will almost always ...

Note: I love that guide. It is one of the only guides that gives high praise for the Assassin class, which is the first one I beat the game with. Most other people see the low thieving stats and say "oh, no thief skills, SUXSUXSUX", but they don't see it's advantages. <3 DSimpson. It's a fair guide...

I recommend the 13lvl Shape/xx lvl Fighter combo, if its physical prowness your looking for.Sure you can cast lvl 7 spells at lvl 15 and get lots of more spell slots, but its not like your going to be casting a lot of spells around after you change to the werewolf form(since you wont be able to). I'm pretty sure it's 1% and then the 5%/1% boost to a maximum of 84. At least it's always been that for me. I have no idea why sites claim that it's 2%, I've never heard of anyone gaining that.

I am using the Tactics mod that makes encounters/battles more difficult and require more though, but I didn't know it would make them so hard that there is little chance of survival. The intro battle against Ilasera is so hard now that my paladin dies in a few hits, I have no chance. Is this really...

Never thought about it like that. Cool.

As well as all seemily very clever Dragons would leave a lot of fire resistant gear in their lair. As if. Yeah, I also enjou the Eclipse party banter.

Why ressurect a 7 year old thread though? I don't get it. ^^

That would be quite interesting to know since I've been having a keen eye for those scrolls for my last 10 playthroughs or so, and never found one except the ones in Adventurere's Mart.

If you ever manage to get one of those as a drop, I would love to know as well.

Keep Cernd out of your party and have him challenge Faldorn independantly. If I remember correctly he will be invulnerable and beat her.

There are only two in the game, and you can buy them from Adventurer's Mart. You can't get them in ToB without a keeper. :/

Sarevok dualled to a Mage right when you get him is hands down the most powerful NPC in the vanilla game. It's like a kensai/mage but with slightly less fighting capability and crazy stats+deathbringer assault instead. Modded, well, both Valen and Solaufein are so off the chart it is scary. They nee...

It depends totally on your playstyle. Personally I find that backstab opens up for a lot of powerful combos such as timetrap/mislead and would not trade it for a few muscles, but hey, that's just me. If you are more of a toe-to-toe player, go for it. They are definitely usable.
