The ending cinematic did contain a launching point for a possible sequel. Let's hope sales were strong enough to warrant one. It's nice to play a game were all the design elements, especially the UI, are so well thought out. The only real complaint I have is that the player character didn't auto-res...

Slasher axe for the Orcs

Finally finished Prince of Qin and started DD over with new (warrior) character. Regarding finding "Slasher" for the Orcs - I found several axes requiring Identify 2 skill and one requiring Identify 4. I got my skill up to 2 and examined the 2s but none of them said Slasher or looked extra special. ...

You might think your homophobic remarks are 'cute' but I would think most people here find them offensive, as well as infantile.

Such hate-speech is frowned upon in these forums.

Thanks for the advice, guys. Go with a warrior, huh? I normally do tend to the fighter types but, for some reason, I had gone with the thief on this one. I was thinking maybe I would just start over anyway, as I won't be done with PoQ for another 3-4 weeks it looks like and will have forgotten what ...

>fable I had looked over the threads (there aren't that many, after all) and most seemed to be either help with specific problems or what's the game like questions - no general tips, except perhaps the skills thread. It seems like an interesting game. I played til I got stuck trying to figure out ho...

Finally bought DD today

Price finally dropped, so I picked it up today.

Am currently playing Prince of Qin, but have installed DD and will poke around at it a bit.

Any advice/tips for the new player to keep in mind? No spoilers, please. TIA.

#3 IIRC, Eddie's place is the northernmost, upstairs, of the line of buildings facing the river on the west bank.

Yes, you can copy your save folder, uninstall and reinstall the game and copy to save folder back into the MW folder without any problem. Works fine. As far as this correcting problems with the game, it depends. If you've screwed up your MW installation by mucking around with the Toolkit and/or cons...

If their meter gets to 0 and you still haven't gotten the red 'good-bye', try bribing them with 1000 gold to get their meter back up to 100 and start the taunt process again. This has worked for me. You might have to do it a couple of times, tho. Save before doing this in case it doesn't work, so yo...

You need either a weapon made of silver (as opposed to iron or steel) or an enchanted weapon of some type for these types of creatures.

A potion, scroll or spell of either water-breathing or swift swim should do the trick.

Yes, it increases with quest completions, though not all quests contribute to it. A lot of it comes from quests related to guild/House advancement, as you impress your superiors with your skill in accomplishing the varying tasks set before you. It's my impression that the increase is most closely re...

RC - Head from Balmora towards Ft. Moonmoth. After crossing the river, turn left at the road going north (about half-way between the river and the fort). A little ways up it, there will be a fork to the right going uphill, take it. It leads to a huge metal bridge. Cross the bridge and you will see t...

There is plug-in available called Shakti's Book of Secrets that puts this book into the bookstore in Balmora for you to purchase. This is a handy reference which contains: - a travel guide listing the cities each type of transport will take you to - a list of which creatures fit into which soul gems...

Almsivi Intervention and Divine Intervention - available in scroll, spell or magical amulets.

Scrolls and magical items ALWAYS work, whereas spell success depends on your skill level, meaning they can fizzle most of the time early on.

Unless it's a RP choice on your part, being a fighter doesn't preclude you from using magic. In fact, you must learn some spells in order to use the soul gems to enchant items, even if you never cast spells (choosing to play as a fighter rather than a mage, say). The way it works is this: you go to ...
