Have moved on to Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter. It's a really good third person shooter that is a bit more realistic than the usual shooter and requires a bit more thought as well. However, it is NOT as tactical/realistic as the original Ghost Recon.

I'm having trouble getting a handle on this. Do you mean, retreat from becoming the Storm Lords of the North? You, from leading a pack of vicious beer-guzzling white wolves? DW in a chainmail bikini? Well looks like I forgot a few words, reverse AMERICAN manifest destiny (if that makes any sense). ...

So does this mean that Canada is going to be reduced to a bunch of drunken polar bears in a howling wilderness? And that everybody else migrates to the northern midwest of the US, and we all have to go around saying "You betcha" and betting on hockey teams from underground mall bars? It's all part ...

One scenario I could see is that once Kivan has avenged his family he has completed what he set out to do and might want to meditate on it.

Coran is also Chaotic Good, so maybe he wants to help you see your quest through.

It's tough to say.

IIRC there should be enough XP to go around to hit or get close to the level cap even with two multi-class characters so that shouldn't be a huge issue unless you're powergaming. Personally I would keep Coran because his 20 Dex makes him deadly with the bow (although Kivan is no slouch). If you're p...

Hk-47 is a the funniest blood thirsty robot around, ask him what love is, its worth it. Canderous is the jugernaut and his war stories make life better, especially the one about the yuuz'ah'vong (however you spell it). Also as a team, both those guys are ridiculous heavy hitters. That's my say Chee...

Someone apparently reminded the Canadian weather that it had a responsibility now to drop down into the Great Lakes states of the US. We've gone from a high of 50 F yesterday to 14 F now, with a -4 taking windchill into account. It's breezy, too. Perfect for kite flying. The funny thing is, it was ...

Is it? I find nothing funny about the human race's ability to devastate this planet. Consider, if you will, that never before has an animal existed on this planet that possesses the ability to radically alter the very climate in a matter of a few very fateful seconds. I refer, of course, to the det...

Keep in mind that if you play Anachronox, you should download the patches before you play to fix bugs, the savegame system, and travelling. Long story short, it is of course no Torment, but it might get some laughs out of you.

Windows 7 Home Basic LIP

Hey there all, So my old XP OS got screwed up on my laptop and the only solution I had was to reinstall Windows. Unfortunately I was in the midst of an exchange semester in China and didn't bring my copy of Windows XP. For some reason, none of my friends or classmates here have XP either. I ended up...

I'm playing Privateer 2 at the moment. The original Dos version through DosBox Also, got a bit interest to oldies again, so dug up some other games besides Privateer 2; Resident Evil 2, Capitalism 2, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey and legendary SimCity 2000. My biggest problem is that Privateer on ...

Analogy can flawed with the best of examples and intent. This is a poor one at best. the climate change skeptics believe that there is minimal human impact on the weather either way. Any action we could take will be for naught. A meteor coming to impact the Earth(which may actually happen around 20...

I've actually played Anachronox as well as Indigo Prophecy so I may as well give my thoughts on them as well. Anachronox is in the vein of a Japanese RPG in terms of combat, however it is a fairly rich story in comparison to modern RPGs and it's actually got quite a decent bit of humor in it as well...

Any being that would lie, unknowingly or not, would not fit my definition of God, therefore any thing that God tells me I will believe. If I did not believe it, I would not be talking to God, which violates the assumption explicit in the question that I am talking to God. So, yes. ...I voted yes fo...

I actually think that The Longest Journey and its sequel Dreamfall are both great adventure games. Their stories are quite good and more intricate than KotOR although Dreamfall's combat and stealth sequences leave a little to be desired (they take away from the story IMO). They both are atmospheric ...

StarLancer is very fun and lend itself very well to multiplayer. It isn't as "deep" (if you can say that about the soap-stories around the missions) as Wing Commander, but I enjoyed it both in single player and multiplayer back in the days. Sounds alright. If I liked the Wing Commander 2 story, wou...
