Um, you probably already know this, but just in case...

Have you altered the difficulty of the game at all? I know that under "Options" on one of the menus, you can choose to have opponents deal more damage or something.

In some cases, I actually prefer the text to a VO. I get a little sick of hearing "You must gather your party before venturing forth." It was much nicer in Icewind Dale. You simply got a little text reminder... no voice.

Actually, I prefer Trigun, but then again, overt space opera really isn't my bag. Image

If you look at the Anime Male section in Lady Nightshade's area on planetbaldursgate, you might find what you are looking for. Here's the link, I think...

Finally, the game answered my own question for me. He propositioned my mage in the Planar Sphere. Seems the romance does go on... but he moves pretty quick after failing the test.

Chaotic Neutral Anomen Romance?

'Kay, so I'm playing BG2 for probably the sixth or seventh time, and I figured it'd be a hoot to see how the Anomen romance changed if he did not become a knight... i.e., failed the Order's Test. However, It's been some time since I heard from him (even though he did say he would like to talk about ...

I've had problems with my CD2 as well, but not as severe. There have been occasions when the game will lock up while changing map areas, and I end up having to restart the computer. Oddly, this problem with CD2 has also prevented me from doing a full install on my computer, as the disk simply sits t...

I'm surprised y'all missed this one. Minsc says it all the time:

"Jump on my sword while you can, Evil!
I will not be as gentle!"

And there you have it. Image

A possible romance with Hendak? Hoody hoo, a dream come true! A little tidbit about him, recently discovered by my husband (and probably posted to death elsewhere on this board, with my luck) -- Hendak seems to be a bit of a berserker. When Hendak emerged from his prison to take on Lehtinian (sp?), ...

Well, maybe not, but better safe than toasted.

I'm not entirely certain about that specific item, but I do know that after you return from the Underdark and get back to Athkatla, Ribald allows you access to more items.

I usually try to 'reveal' only one troll at a time with a single character (hasted, in most cases) then have him chase the character back into the storage room, where my other characters await him. Then, I pound on the troll savagely until he drops, using whatever I have handy (the flaming sword tha...

My husband ran into the same problem. He was playing a good character (I don't remember the class), and was sent to the Temple of Lathander instead of Talos. However, he was having some trouble with his reputation score at the time (for some reason, it was dropping without satisfactory explanation),...

I haven't played all of the character classes (yet!), but yeah, I'd have to go with the Ranger Stronghold, too. Plenty of storage, but not too big, and nice quests. Having a town that appreciates your presence and occasionally leaves you gifts is nice, too.

Okay, Lenny. You wanted it. First, a preface and explanation-- a lot of this is disconnected, incomplete, and somewhat incoherent, because instead of forming a complete mental and emotional picture of a character, I get things in flashes. If you give me a situation and a character, and allow me to w...

Hmmm... unfortunately, Anomen seems to be the best of a bad lot, IMO. (Valygar is too driven for my tastes, as is Keldorn. Let us not even speak of the others.) If he were rescripted, he'd be better. Haven't tried him as Chaotic Neutral yet, though. I don't know if that makes a difference. Maybe it'...

Ooooh, toughie, Drinn... getting a wife to play. We still haven't converted the wife of one of my players, although she did show brief interest in Feng Shui (a fine pen-and-paper from Atlas Games). Seems like the harder one tries to deliberately convert a potential female player, the harder the fema...

*snicker* Um, actually, my husband and I each have our own computers... and our own copies of BG2. 'Course, I'm not going to get any presents for Christmas... or our anniversary... or my birthday, since the second computer was my conglomerate present for the next year. *shrug* Small price to pay.
