Do the harpers attack immediately? Perhaps you could just ctrl-y them before they (and more importantly the Elves) turn red?
That'd be my recommendation. Even if the Harpers appear as Hostile if you're quick you should be able to pause before the Elves turn as well.

Short Bow, there are just a ton of quality Short Bows. You get one that has 3 shots a round pretty early on, the Tugian Bow from the Beastmaster. For a thief who can't specialize and therefore has a low attacks per round this is pretty huge. Combine with THACO enhancers like the Bracers of Archery a...

Kangaxx is just cheese, I don't consider that hard =/ It's frustrating at first then a breeze when you "solve" it through counter-cheese. The Watchers Keep battle is good, but to he honest, im guilty of over-preparing for it which makes it substantially easier. The Sendai fight was actually on of my...
I don't think thats a kind of statement that helps either. Why insinuate that an entire nation act in a similar to these people or worse? I can guarantee that unless you live in a one person country someone else can be just as "evil". Generalistic remarks like that serve to help intern...

anti-semetic attack in France

A painful reminder that the US doesn't have a monopoly of the darker side of humanity. Gang Attacks Mother on French Train PARIS - A gang of young men attacked a woman riding a suburban train with her infant, cutting her hair and drawing swastikas on her stomach. Other passengers watched but did not...

I have been a member of one internet "community". It too began from a gaming forum. So my experience is limited. But reading this thread has me thinking on a certain track. The fact is most gaming forums combine many members with only one single thread in common: the game. Many people may actually s...

Well three things could be involved here. 1. Have you had the various Harpers sub-plots? If not thats your problem. A variety of sub-plots surrounding the Harpers and her being one have to occur for the romance to progress. It usually takes awhile. I think there are some FAQs on this forum which go ...

I can't say they were meant for anything originally. The only time I did the Jaheria romance, I had part of the subplot with the Harpers spawn in one of the areas (the area with the lake), but I believe that was just because it was an "outside" area after I had spent a long time in the Underdark. Th...
Well, GNG, think about this: Some people dislike dying and reloading on the normal game and invented cheese. Other people missed to die, and invented tactics. UserUnfriendly, for example, knows 95% of the possible cheeses and forgot the 5% remaining cause SoA is an old game. Noti...

Bard would probably be more fun, especially if you haven't used one before. Shapeshifting into Greater Werewolf and then clicking attack just isn't overally interesting to me, and thats really all Cernd is good for. Haer-Dalis on the other hand does have good enough mage spells. People make the mist...

Well. When I first installed ToB years ago you had to have the ToB CD in to boot the game up, and then put in CD2 when you choose "Play Shadows of Amn". Recently I just reinstalled the game and have just finished playing through SoA, and throughout it I have been able to use just the SoA CD2 to star...

First let me explain why I am making a new thread. This is off the original threads topic, so I thought it was appropiate to put it in a new thread since its a subject i'd like to discuss. If this isn't right Fable then by all means, delete it, and I apologize in advance. Anyways. Dragonwench wrote ...

I solo'ed once with an Assassin. Was pretty entertaining, albeit a little cheesy, until I got the HLA Use Any Item. After that wands and scrolls made it a breeze.

Well, I will say this. If they DO add +4 to his shapeshift form, I may have to give the tree-hugger another look. That ought to make him pretty darn powerful.
