The first time I encountered Kangaxx the Demilich, I used the Ring of the Ram to do the final few points of damage use the ring to push kangy into some traps preset before the battle...lots of fun... I use the ring quite often...it totally bypasses damage, and knocks back...stick into a bag ...

Well, This helps explain a couple of things I had wondered about. Everytime I have gone into the Adventurer's Mart with one of my characters still invisible (possibly in shadows too), Ribald almost immediately casts True Seeing. Very annoying when I had just planned to quickly pick up something on ...

@UserUnfriendly You're right. One of the bad wish options is calling a Meteor Swarm down upon the caster. Perhaps I made it too easy and revealed too much in my question. On a sidenote, it was because of this wish option, that I began to suspect a bug: Viconia got burned, although she had 100% magi...

But the point is: How do you manage to cast it at yourself , and not just at the ground beneath your feet? Since Meteor Swarm is of level 9, it will not fit in a Chain Contingency. So how do you make a Meteor Swarm ignore magic resistance, i.e. how do you aim it at yourself ? (If I'm asking like th...

Does this really do anything in BG2? My gut feeling is that it has no practical effect, as enemies do not seem to use Detect Invisible, only True Sight. The list of other effects in the spell description (clairvoyance, clairaudience etc) form no part of the game surely. with hide in shadows, and ON...

Thats really doesnt matter if u increase ur output or decrease enemy armor the damage outcome is the same, Even creatures wearing heavy armor will B more easy to defeat, since the piercing is reacting to enemy armor. But for most creatures 90% it will not make any difference(bandits, wasps, balvari...

Fire augments work against the undead, possibly better than the silver. And like Polyphemus said mana augmentations are really nice because your will power regenerates while physical shield is on. also works on ice trolls, summoners...(two worst enemies in the game) Matt, despite the logic of pierc...

wish spell is highly broken... even worse is "cast abi dahzim on everyone in the map"...protect your party with immunity to magic damage, and obliterate every enemy on the map, visible and invisible. limited wish is almost as bad... cast spell, have minsc talk to the djinn, and ask for protection fr...

chain contingency ignores acuity, and so you can cast in middle of combat, and it will instantly trigger next round. when you're next to the lich, cast on SELF, when you see enemy sunfire delayed blast fireball delayed blast fireball will usually fry them. (don't worry, casting sunfire will make you...

I think it also depends on your character. A Kensai or Archer, for example, will gain an effect from around level three (around every three levels they get a +1 damage to attack) and therefore an effect will quickly be put in the effects tab. For a Bard or Mage, however, it might take longer to get...

Most of you are aware that with points in guile, and after only a small amount of renown, a merchant will buy merchandize for more than selling it. The way it works is that if you buy his entire stock, he will pay more because he is out of stock for that particular merchandise. this allows you to bu...
