Things are pretty...different here.

So I see in my absence Gamebanshee has gone through quite the overhaul, or potentially multiple overhauls . I miss being here. I've been feeling super nostalgic lately and I miss running/playing D&D games here and chatting with people and whatnot. Things have been...chaotic in my life to say the...

It's been a month since he logged in and his campaign was started.

It's dead now.

OOC- No worries. I report back to the guards. "It seems as if there is no magical residue leftover suggesting a few things. Either the person in question is capable of disguising his magic, the person is not in this city in any way and didn't cast it within city walls, or, and this is entirely possi...

How to make Random Encounters interesting

This is a question I've pondered over for quite a while and haven't really figured out how to go about this. One of the major problems with my DMing is that whenever the players travel, there's a chance of random, completely plotless encounters, and this gets very dungeon-crawly and takes away from ...

Pondering for a moment on the correct response, "Then perhaps I can be of use here afterall, as I have been taught how to examine various objects to see magical auras just by looking, without the aid of magic. I think I will look around this village to see if I can find any faint traces of magic, an...

I ignore the man staring at me and talk to the leader of the bunch- "They look frightened of me. I wish I knew why. Perhaps if I attempt to solve this massacre and bring justice to the murderer, then maybe they won't fear me. Would you be so kind as to tell me what happened to them and how it happen...

"I do not understand your accusations; however, logic would dictate that as I have a mind, I am not a golem, and if I were a golem, I would be under the control of someone else. Furthermore, if I was the perpetrator of said crime, it would not make much sense for me to simply knock on your door and ...

You're welcome to start an official campaign information thread which I can sticky, detailing out rules/houserules for your game, as well as campaign themes, limitations, and so on (like the magic thing).

I think that might be better for allowing other players to get in on the action.

"It's... quite something," the voice offers after some hesitation. The door opens a peak, and Yuvara sees a middle-aged man peering through at her, a look of utter astonishment on his face. "What the hell are you, then?" There is no fear in his ...

@LastDanceSaloon You need to make a character and have DM approval before you're eligible to play. Also, warforged are genderless. They adopt male/female personalities but their voices all sound the same and their bodies all look relatively the same. As my character is mostly machine, with a machine...

Think of a mechanical, gray version of that.

OOC- Not a huge deal but I felt the name I gave my gnomish father was a little too cartoony. If it's alright with you, I'll change it to Flint Lockhelm. Sounds a little less absurd to me at least Pondering for a while whether it's even worthwhile to land and attempt to communicate, Yuvara lands know...

Item Familiars :: d20srd.org Decided on taking this feat, made a lot of sense for my character. A quick break down so you don't have to read absolutely everything- Invest Life Energy is irrelevant. Apart from being too high level to benefit, you seem like the type of DM that'd keep XP pretty much e...

Action points 101- Characters get 5 action points plus 1 more per 2 levels. I.e., from level 1 to 20, it's 5,6,6,7,7,8,8,9,9,10,10,11,11,12,12,13,13,14,14,15. They don't roll over. You use action points to gain a spur of the moment +1D6 to any D20 roll, used as an immediate, or in your PBP rules cas...

Ruling questions, these are kind of houserule-ish so if it's gamebreaking to you or you don't like it, no worries. 1- Effigy masters and artificers are both item creators and seem to go hand in hand except for one tragic ruling, simulacrum must be on my spell list. For me to have that, I'd have to d...
