I'd pre-order a sequel or expansion. VtM: Bloodlines is one of my favorite games (and, I must admit, it's surprising to me that is the case; it was a game I had very moderate expectations for at the time of purchase). I'd love to see a game set in Chicago (the original WoD modules for that city are ...

I've not personally tried them (yet), but I think that the Camarilla Edition and the Final Nights expansion both make significant changes to combat (I know the effectiveness of guns for both NPCs and the player were increased and Disciplines were rebalanced). From what I gather, those are both high ...

I own the first game, but have never gotten around to playing it. I've enjoyed the RPG/Shooter hybrid (Bloodlines, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, etc.), but I'm not normally a big FPS fan. What RPG elements are present in Bioshock? Is it mainly just getting to make some critical choices? Any significant NPC...

The AW is incredibly powerful. Though - I've got to admit - the class bored me to tears. I basically felt like I was relying solely on auto attack.

It's a matter of personal preference, obviously. Wynn is a very good healer (best in the game, quite frankly), if you don't like Morrigan. So, bring her along as a dedicated healer and you'll be fine. Rogues are great in DA1. They do great damage (best single target damage if you are maximizing your...

Out of curiosity, why did you find it more fun?

I have a bad habit of starting and restarting (occasionally several times, for a variety of reasons) games. I'm a bit of a perfectionist about things. As a byproduct, I simply don't finish as many as I'd like. Some notable examples: (1) Mass Effect 2: I actually like the game; I do plan on finishing...

I had never heard of Club Penguin, either. For some reason, I was surprised to see Lord of the Rings and Eve Online that high. Dragonwench, is Runescape that bad? Never played, but have some friends who have enjoyed it in spurts.

I'm hoping for a great deal of random planet exploration scenes. Perhaps, an hour of footage of Shepherd and crew in the Mako driving around barren worlds. That would be awesome.... :)

Torments was good. I enjoyed the sound tracks for VtM: Bloodlines and Fallout 3, as well. Both did a nice job of crafting a mood.

Bloodlines was the scariest I've played. Like the others, I believe it should have been included. The Ocean Hotel was quite creepy and exceptionally well done. When I replay the game, I often turn the volume down...being a wuss and all. And, other parts of the game were frightening and disturbing, a...

Just remember, saying Final Fantasy 7 was a great game, or the best final fantasy game is a LOT different than saying It was the best RPG ever. No doubt. Certainly, I am not agreeing with the article's assessment. There are at least a dozen RPGs I'd rank ahead of it that I have played (and there ar...

Personally, I thought Final Fantasy IV and V were actually better games. With that said, I do not think it's much of a stretch to say that Final Fantasy VII was a hugely influential JRPG. At the time of its release, everyone I knew was playing it (given, this was a younger gaming audience at the tim...

There are a hand full of gems in the TSR and WoTC books. The Weis and Hickman Dragonlance stuff, for instance. But, your point is well taken. I have actually heard some positive things about Mass Effect: Revelation , though I have not read it. My inclination is that it is mediocre sci-fi. Though, I ...

Apparently so. Though, I'm still not sure how anyone who read or glanced at the actual article could have understood it to be anything other than an attempt at a fun little satire piece. Oh well...to each their own.

I actually thought it was an amusing little article. It definitely applies to JRPGs more than their western counterparts. But, it brought back many fond memories of games like Dragon Warrior, Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy.
