I lurk on the game boards these days. The old hands seem to of gotten busy with real life or replaced SYM with social media, but I like to pop in now and again (every 3-4 months it seems)
I really didn't know whether to put this on this forum, DA:O or leave it in SYM. Either way I wanted to share it and here it is, I think its pretty damn cool!
How is DayZ? I've never been much into online FPS but from what I've seen of videos on Youtube, it seems to play like an action-rpg hybrid with its micromanagement between players and potential bartering of goods.
I was babysitting my little brothers one day and to past the time I decided to take/treat them to a flick at the cinema. They went and saw Pokemon: The Movie. Now there was no way in hell I was gonna be seen in a theatre with that playing. I was still at that age where image was everything, so the o...
Gameplay is the unspoken mantra, but I am an absolute sucker for graphics or design. And I'm not talking about photo realistic graphics or whatever. The days of getting blown away by something like Crysis has long passed for me. However I picked up the likes of Fez, Minecraft and Limbo because they ...
G'day DW! Its definitely a console thing used primarily for bragging rights and whatnot. However there are developers out there who do use it to great effect, Bethesda for example worked their achievements out to encourage players to fully explore the side quests of Skyrim, whilst others ask you do ...
Thanks Xyx! You can shamelessly plug away, I still remember running your improved beholder pack once upon a time and thinking to myself I can either quit the game in frustration or grit my way through them. I found it to be quite rewarding in the end
Although sometimes it feels more like coming back to old friends; having finally reclaimed an old copy of BG2 and being surprised that Windows 7 didn't overly complicate things. I would like to install a number of mods, however I wouldn't know where to start? Once upon a time I used to run The Darke...
I've heard good things about The Wheel of Time, but I'm not too sure about that one being that it's up to like 14 or 15 books now? So what would you guys suggest? Remember the key word is Epic. I've started to re-read The Wheel of Time especially that an ending is now in sight. (Hooray for closure!...
I'm a sucker for sandbox games so I like to make my own fun. Things that stick to my mind include having an epic battle with the Greybeards on the side of a mountain, pushing goats off cliffs and ambushing travelling khajits after patiently stalking them into the hills. My personal fave however woul...
Favourite on PC, hmmmm.... Being an old school gamer; I loved Civ 2, Black Isle classics like BG2 and Planescape, LucasArts point and click games but Football Manager and Morrowind take the cake. The first was/is just so addictive and I could actually use the SDK on the other one so it still has end...
Its getting annoying always having just under 10 kgs? or whatever the weight units are to get extra things with. Secondly leveling up stamina just so you can carry and sell dragon bones seems a little counter productive.
Not a fan of followers, I'm currently running through with a stealth character, emphasising on sneaking, poison and archery so it always a chore to have someone drag three to four enemies into a fight...
Lets see if we can kick this lil' thread off... And I still think I am the GB member who has met most other GB members IRL Ah yes, the advantages of living and/or travelling in Europe My story is similar to yours CE. Joined up as a cocky kid in his final years of high school. Somewhere along the li...
