I'd like to know what they were doing with all that money, too. They weren't a large development house, from what I recall, and their outgoings can't have been so large in five years.

I allow Intimidate to be run off STR or CHA - but this choice has to be made at character gen (or when the skill is picked up) and can't be changed after that.

Rangers are fighter types. Regular fighter types (Fighter/Paladin) only get 2 skill points per level, with Barbs getting 4. What is the rationale for Rangers (still a fighter type) to get 6 skill points per level? That they are "rogue-like"? Nostrils. Absolute nostrils. Let's examine the classes wit...

And here I was thinking you'd written a song to outline fable's greatness and magnificence... I feel gypped. ;)

Come now, bard oozae, write us a melody to denounce fable's wonderfulness.

Sounds like the PCs had a lucky dice night - they happen. Maybe tweak some numbers, or use GM's perogative of ignoring results.

The story does sound very cool, mate. :)

I only allow WotC books in my game, and then no 3.5 books, only 3.0. I cherry pick some 3.5 rules, but have discarded most of them. I don't mind using the splat books, but a mate of mine allows all the Green Ronin, Mongoose and other third party books - as such, his game is a complete mess! Cheers, ...

How did two PCs end up in the same dream? And was this a major or minor NPC? What was their Dream Defence skill rating? What are the PC's Dream Alteration skill ranks? What DCs did you set for the holding and the flaming? I think some tweaking may be needed, yes. But new game mechanics always need b...

Some good ones there, Mr.Waesel, and my group uses most of them too. Do people have house rules to fix specific problems with the written rules? I have a house rule that fixes Polymorph (no abilities gained with the new state remain when you change states again is part of it). What about some of the...

Relying on out of game components to base a PC decision on really irritates me as a GM - the players claiming "I saw the note! I know he has it" is completely irrelevant to the *characters*. They certainly didn't see the note. They may or may not have believed your Bluff, and they may harbour suspic...

[QUOTE=Cuchulain82]The main complaint I have with 3.0 vs. 3.5 is that monks get Ki strike so late in 3.0. I was using 3.0 and one of my players was playing a monk that was 8th or 9th level, a pretty powerful character. Whenever the party ran into undead however, he was useless. In 3.5 Ki strike was ...

Gidday all, First let me apologise for the recent lack of posting - I usually post from work, and the current contract is just too busy to allow web browsing! The simple fact that this game is so open ended and so flexible. If you wanted, you could simply ignore the main quest, and still have months of fun playing various parts of the game.

Of all the other RPGs I've played recently, none have this sense of freedom. And it rocks. :p
