Deus Ex: Human Revolution Preview

BeefJack is the latest website to kick up a preview of Deus Ex: Human Revolution based on a demonstration given to them by art director Jonathan Jaques-Belletete. A couple of paragraphs to get you started:
Walking us through a stealth-based mission, Jonathan comments on the scope of playing styles that will be allowed. (This being a Deus Ex game, there's at least five different ways to access this warehouse,) he says. There'll never be a single level where you're forced into using violence, restricted to hiding in the shadows, or obligated to coerce your way past guards via the art of the silver tongue.

Even in combat, you've the choice to be a pacifist. The game features some absolutely, excruciatingly brutal takedowns, for sure. The camera flicks back into third-person to the sight of Jensen beating a hundred craps out of his foes. But there's a twist. (You can play the entire game without killing anybody,) Jonathan says you've always the option of using nonlethal takedowns, as well as the ones which very evidently will land the recipient in a six foot hole in the ground.
