CD Projekt Signs New Distribution Deal With Namco Bandai

Namco Bandai was already known to be publishing The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, but now a financial report (in Polish) points to the publisher's involvement expanding (interpreted via Google Translate): a non-refundable deposit has been provided by Namco Bandai, in return for which they will receive royalties for four years after the game's release. Additionally, CD Projekt RED is now obliged to hit specific (undefined) deadlines on both the game's development and localization into English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

The publishing license is exclusive worldwide excepting the US, Canada, Japan, the CIS countries and a few others. Namco Bandai also gains non-exclusive digital distribution rights. This deal replaces their old publishing deal.
