Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned Previews

Another pair of previews for Propaganda Games' Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned have surfaced, courtesy of the demonstration given at this year's E3.

VideoGamer kicks things off:
While we didn't get to see how ships came into play on this particular occasion, Propaganda confirmed that they would play a pivotal role in the game. As the captain of the Nemesis, players can look forward to recruiting a crew, trading with other ships, boarding enemy vessels and waging war on the high seas in large scale ship battles. While you might not have guessed it from the linear demo, Armada of the Damned is very much an open world title. The Caribbean has a plethora of islands open for exploration, and with the mighty Nemesis at your disposal; you're free to travel between them however you see fit.

And then we head over to The Examiner for another take:
The conversation system is pretty straightforward, offering only 2-3 choices, generally speaking. The developers wanted to maintain a brisk pace and didn't want players having to sift through walls of text.

Conversation choices generally boil down 'Legendary', which is the more heroic path, or 'Dreaded', the more 'Piratey' path. Whichever path you choose, your combat maneuvers, ship, and appearance all gradually reflect your demeanor as you progress through the game.
