Original Akalabeth: World of Doom Disk Label on eBay

Having developed it in BASIC in his spare time as a teenager, I highly doubt Richard Garriott ever thought Akalabeth: World of Doom would lead to one of the most revered video game franchises of all time. The game was technically finished in 1979, but it wasn't until 1980 that California Pacific Computer agreed to take it from ziploc bags to store shelves. Prior to the publishing deal, Lord British apparently created some custom labels for the first fifteen copies - and now one of them is up for sale on eBay:
This is one of Richard Garriott's ORIGINAL Akalabeth labels, created for his high school project Akalabeth, the one that sold under 15 games (NONE of the original games sold are in the hands of any collector's as far as I know). This label was obtained in a trade with RG many years ago. His game was bought out by California Pacific which started the Ultima revolution, Cal Pacific later released Ultima I, then Richard went to Sierra where Ultima II was released, he then founded his own company, Origin which released most of the Ultima games and others over the years. This game was the beginning. May be the ONLY original new Akalabeth label around unless RG has any left. New, still on it's original backing.
I obviously can't validate the label's authenticity, but if it's real, $2500 will buy you a piece of role-playing game history. If anyone wants to buy it and donate it to the GameBanshee Collection (TM), I wouldn't complain :).
