Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer Reviews

Even though Funcom's Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer expansion pack has been up and running for a few days already, the review coverage has been pretty minimal. Along with Eurogamer's pulled 6/10 review, we've only witnessed Gaming Union hand out an 8/10:
Overall Rise of the Godslayer feels like an expansion meant to win back those who may have been disinterested in Age of Conan's initial release. How fun the game is really depends on what kind of player you are however, since the series still feels far more focused on fighting players as opposed to monsters. Older players should find themselves rewarded with the new quests, factions, and dungeons (in addition to the Alternate Advancement paths), while newer ones may find that playing the newer race of Khitai is more interesting to quest as. Either way Rise of the Godslayer is primed to bring entertainment to anyone who at least enjoys decapitating another player in an exotic landscape.

And NowGamer dole out a slightly higher 8.6/10:
Rise Of The Godslayer is expanding Age Of Conan horizontally and filling in the areas that arguably, shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. But this is much more than a glorified patch: the new country of Khitai is big and radically different place from the rest of Hyboria that offers a comprehensively new content to new and loyal players. And if you've left it as long as we have between games, you may well enjoy Hyboria much more this time around.
