Action-RPG, Torchlight, Sells Half a Million Copies, Bestseller on Steam

SEATTLE--Runic Games, Inc. ("Runic Games"), a specialized developer of PC-based entertainment software in the United States, announced today that their critically-acclaimed ARPG Torchlight bypassed the half a million mark in sales, and officially went Gold. This milestone was achieved just weeks before the release of the Mac version of Torchlight, available now on Steam for Mac.

(We are delighted by the response to Torchlight,) says CEO Max Schaefer. (We'd like to thank the greatest gaming community in the world, Valve, Perfect World, World Domination (Mac port), and all our other distribution partners for making this possible.)

In celebration of the Gold status and the Mac release, Torchlight is currently on sale for $9.95, a savings of 50%. The sale runs through Sunday on Steam. (http://store.steampowered.com/)
