As it is, Kasumi, and this DLC, is nothing more than a disappointing distraction. Is it worth the cash? Probably, just about, if you're so in love with Mass Effect 2 that you often find yourself crouching behind the walls of your house pretending to use biotic powers on bemused family members. This isn't a dig: I often find myself wishing I could shag aliens. It's just a shame you can't do it with Kasumi. Some Bond girl she turned out to be.

Overall, picking up Kasumi's Stolen Memory is going to depend on a number of factors that you're going to have to weigh for yourself. Is an hour's worth of gameplay worth $7? Are shallow stealth mechanics as much of a letdown for you as they were for me? And lastly, do you really need another party member for an already overflowing cast of characters? But if you think the price is justified and don't care for elaborate stealth mechanics, then Kasumi's Stolen Memory will probably seem like a good pickup for lovers of Mass Effect 2. While I was disappointed with some aspects of the DLC, I enjoyed the overall experience because Kasumi's character seems to have a lot of potential. What you get in this DLC is but a primer to this character's overall story arc, but it looks like the reprecussions shown here could stretch into the main narrative of Mass Effect 3. However, that's just speculation on my part. Truth is, we might never see anything come out of the plot points this DLC brings up. Only time will tell for sure. But when it comes down to it, I can say I enjoyed what little taste of Kasumi I did get here. And no, that's not sexual.

This DLC features so little that it seems hardly worth buying. Luckily, I was able to get this for free since I am reviewing it, otherwise I would never pay 560 points for this. Sure, it is more of a great game, but for only a couple of hours maximum of game play it hardly seems an appropriate price point.
Gaming Bits gives it a 2.75/5:
The one mission is fun, but it is not worth it unless you are a diehard Mass Effect fan. Kasumi, the new character, is great and offers some additional information along with a new weapon. It is one of the best loyalty missions. I played for just about an hour and completed it. Because of that I just can't recommend it for a download at $7, unless you are willing to pay a high price for minimal content.
SFX-360 gives it a 7.0/10:
While Kasumi herself is interesting and fun, the mission is only so-so. Tack on the fact that there was no mission to find her like so many of the other members and that most players who potentially may buy this DLC have already beaten the game at least once and that leaves you with very little bang for you buck. Bioware is charging 7 dollars for this DLC and it's hard to really recommend anyone picking it up at that price. If you're a die hard fan then you probably already have this DLC. So the only ones left that I would recommend this to are those that either haven't purchased the game yet or just not gotten very far. For those I wholeheartedly recommend paying the 7 bucks for the extra crew member. I'm sure you can find the game for far cheaper than the original price so you'll still come out ahead over us early grabbers. Everyone else should probably just stay away until the price drops. Just don't turn your back on it, face it and walk away very slowly.
Game Critics gives it a 7.5/10:
When all was said and done, I only had two issues with Stolen Memory. The first is that after having totally completed Mass Effect 2 a while ago, there wasn't any opportunity for me to use Kasumi after the new mission was over. That one's on me. The second is that I couldn't help but feel that the price of $7.00 was a little inflated. Kasumi is certainly a fine character and I liked the new spin on mission design, but even with all that taken into account, $7.00 for 45 minutes didn't quite add up. Mass Effect die-hards will certainly want to invest, but more casual fans of the series might want to think twice before purchase.

The question remains, is Kasumi worth your 560 MS Points? Well, that depends on a few factors. If you've already finished Mass Effect 2 and don't intend to start a new game any time soon, then probably not. But if you do intend to start a new game, or are still early on in the game, then Kasumi is an excellent addition to your party and totally worth the expense. She's a vibrant character who's extremely well voice acted and her loyalty mission is both fun and challenging.
