I'm not really sure what to make of this, but Blizzard Entertainment has uploaded an image that looks very much like the Ral rune from Diablo II to their Diablo Twitter feed. To inject some extra mystery into the image, they've posted the statement "It's coming." underneath it.

What's coming? Information on Diablo III's rune system, maybe? Your guess is as good as mine.
