Gametunes is reporting that Electronic Arts intends to release the official Mass Effect 2 soundtrack via digital download on January 18th. Word is:

This 2 Disc set will feature twenty-seven tracks totaling almost two hours of music. For the soundtrack EA enlisted the help of Jack Wall who has composed for over thirty video game in his career including the Myst franchise, Splinter Cell, and Jade Empire. You may also recognize him as the conductor for the Video Games Live concert series.

No pricing information is available, but both discs are already up on Amazon and are scheduled for release on January 19th (a day late?).
