Diablo III Interview

The folks at USA Today recently chatted up Blizzard's Jay Wilson about Diablo III's storyline, co-op component, PvP support, and more.
Blizzard's heritage is in the PC gaming space, but aside from World of Warcraft, the platform isn't exactly hot for gamers right now. How will a PC-only game like Diablo III change that?

If you look at the actual installed base of PCs, it outnumbers all consoles put together, so the fact we are PC and Mac only doesn't worry me. We know there's an audience out there. Also, we feel the PC is not hot out there simply because no one is making PC games for them. I think we make great games but we could use more competition, and I encourage more (developers or publishers) to take advantage of that market. That being said, while we don't have plans to put Diablo III on consoles, we don't have anything against that -- in fact, the simpler control scheme could probably be mapped well to a controller.
I foresee a "Diablo III coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3" headline sometime next year.
