In addition, Siege of Mirkwood also provides a new Skirmish feature. Here, you'll be able to train your customized army with a number of random scenarios, which you can repeat any way you see fit. This is a wonderful tool to develop strategies with, as you can see what soldier classes stand up best against enemies both large and small. There's also a new World Join function, where you join up with fellow players in battles throughout Middle-Earth. Turbine has yet to give an exact player count, but we expect a ton.
That's not all. A new dark area will be made available for players to explore. It's Dol Guldur, the fortress of the Ringwraiths. Here, you'll be able to strike back against Sauron's armies using three and six player instances, or organize with fellow players in one huge 12-person raid. However, you'll need to be ready, because hiding in the depths of Dol Guldur is one of Sauron's nastiest creations, the Nazgul Lord. If you're not careful, he'll turn your army into a pile of corpses.
