Blade Thrust Tactics Nearing Release

During a pit stop at Tales of the Rampant Coyote, I noticed a blurb for Blade Thrust Tactics, an independently-developed, isometric, squad-based RPG/strategy hybrid inspired by the Jagged Alliance and Fallout Tactics games. The project has been in development since February of 2001, but things seem to be ramping up nicely because there's already a beta version of the game available. Anyway, here's a quick snip from the game's about page:
Blade Thrust Tactics is a role-playing squad based tactical strategy game on isometric view. You take control of up to 6 operatives to carry out several missions for the Alliance (the good guy) as part of their campaign to to get rid of the Idea Empire (the bad guy).

The game takes place in a fictional world called Core of which the Idea Empire had invaded the whole world several years ago creating a global autocratic police state empire the people hate. So the Alliance has been formed to fight the giant empire.

As the Alliance lacks resources, guerilla war has been adopted of which several small squads has been dispatched to attack several sectors in town occupied by soldiers who works for the Empire. You are in charge of special squad which comprises of talented special operatives but to use their services, you have to pay.

The game has 2 gameplay layers on it. On the surface is a challenging real time tactical combat game of which you need to employ your tactical skills to get rid the enemy. Another gameplay layer is extensive resource management game of which you need to optimize the usage of little resource you have to achieve your objectives.
