Fallout 3 Point Lookout DLC Reviews

Two more Point Lookout reviews are in, just in case you haven't yet forked over 800 points for Fallout 3's latest DLC.

411mania gives it a 9.5/10:
The Point Lookout DLC opens up an entirely new piece of the map, gets you out of the Capital Wasteland, and exposes you to people who weren't mutated because of a direct hit by the bombs, but were essentially just left to fend for themselves. The boardwalk is interesting (and may become the scene of a crazy firefight), the swamp is eerie, the locals are frightening, there are baby dolls hung from trees, there is a maximum security detention center located in the area, and did I forget to mention the drug fueled mind expansion part? Can you play Fallout 3 without Point Looking? Yes. But will Point Lookout add hours onto your game play experience while providing you with a great deal of entertainment, value, and depth? Absolutely. If you've already picked up the Broken Steel DLC, and you're debating what the next piece of content for Fallout 3 you should pick up, allow me to voice my support for Point Lookout you will not be disappointed.

And The Leisure Lab gives it a 4/5:
Fallout 3 was one of the finest games of 2008, but rather than rest on its laurels Bethesda Softworks have built on the brilliance of the original game by adding DLC throughout 2009. From the action-oriented Operation Anchorage through to the spooky, Lovecraftian experience of Point Lookout, each piece puts a new twist on Fallout 3, some more successfully than others. Each piece of DLC brings you new missions, new environments and new items, but while some of them are worth every penny and more, others perhaps don't deserve your MS points, so which is which?
