Fallout 3 Broken Steel DLC Reviews

If you're looking for another handful of reviews for Bethesda's Broken Steel DLC for Fallout, you're in luck.

The first is at Gamer 2.0 with a score of 8.8/10:
With a solid new campaign, an improved level cap, dozens of new perks and tons of powerful weapons at your disposal, Broken Steel is hands down some of the best content Fallout 3 has to offer. With two previous add-ons already giving fans plenty to explore, Broken Steel really pushes the boundaries of what you can come to expect from future downloadable additions. This is the most complete and well-rounded addition to Fallout 3 yet, and anyone can expect to spend hours relishing in what it has to offer.

The second is at Game And Player with no score:
...the new Broken Steel content is something that anyone who's spent a fair amount of time exploring the Capital Wasteland should try. It won't be easy, but I think that few people will back down from such a rewarding challenge.

The third is at Xbox Evolved with a score of 9/10:
Fallout has been out for about seven months now and I'm sure there are those of you that have played through the game 100% and those of you that have played through the story and haven't gone back to the game. With the Broken Steel expansion both parties will have a reason to go back and slay more wastelanders.

The fourth is at Games Are Evil with no score:
It's not bad by any means, but in some respects it feels like Broken Steel is playing it a bit too safe, regurgitating past ideas into an enjoyable, if unremarkable, whole. It's not entirely certain what it wants to be. Advancing the main questline and upping the level cap means it integrates itself well into the regular game, but at the same time it doesn't really do much to make itself stand out. And whilst reaching level 30 is definitely a time-consuming challenge, the rest of the new content spreads itself out a bit thin. I preferred The Pitt, to be honest, but Broken Steel is definitely worth a look if you've got a batch of Microsoft Points burning a hole in your pocket.

And the fifth is at London Free Press with a score of 4/5:
The third and final downloadable add-on for Fallout 3 is easily the best, with welcome improvements and extensions to the game's main storyline.
