Fallout 3 Broken Steel DLC Reviews

Despite the fact that the PC version of Fallout 3's latest DLC still hasn't reappeared on the Live Marketplace, both VideoGamer and Ars Technica bring us their reviews of Broken Steel.

VideoGamer goes with a 9/10:
Broken Steel suffers from many of the problems the original game did (I encountered some hilarious bugs and glitches, as well as some not so hilarious game crashes) and some that seem endemic to Bethesda (the PC version was broken (ahem) on release). This, coupled with the disappointing new perks prevents the add-on from a perfect score. But, overall, Broken Steel can't be considered anything other than an excellent addition to the Fallout 3 universe. Put simply, if you love Fallout 3, Broken Steel is an essential purchase.

And Ars Technica rates it a "buy":
While the core missions of the DLC aren't going to take experienced players more than a few hours to beat, they all feel relevant to the story, and this is the first time that 800 MS Points seems like a fair price for Bethesda's new content. It does something great: it makes Fallout 3 fresh and interesting again, even for those of us who thought that the Capital Wasteland had lost its grime-ridden luster long ago.
