Please explain the point system in more detail for doom. I can spend hours in doom soloing and get nothing. Seems to me that if drops are based on a point system that if someone solos something that person should receive all the points that it offers.

Instead of looking at is as the "total points available" on the doom boss, think of it as a value that determines how many points each person attacking the boss gets in the end. That means that the person who did the most damage gets the maximum available points from the encounter for a given player. If another person joins in, the amount of points available as a total is increased, however they'll get a bit less than the top attacker did.

So, the way to look at this system is that it increases the available points from a boss to accomodate adding more players to the boss fight without punishing those already there.
