Fable II Knothole Island DLC Reviews

A couple more reviews of Lionhead's Knothole Island downloadable content for Fable II have recently surfaced on the web.

The first is at Spawn Kill with no score:
The main quest will shovel you along a series of dungeons, which will each set the island into a new set of weather-related problems. These dungeons will weave you through slaying the enemies you are already familiar with, though these enemies that reside on Knothole Island have a bit of a different look to them than what you're used to, which is nice, and also through a handful of puzzles. Don't plan to be mystified or bamboozled by these puzzles, they are just your typical Fable II (orb puzzles) where you are required to slay the vicious orb in a set amount of time, or in other words use the correct type of attack (Will, Ranged, or Melee) on it to continue along your path. Nothing you haven't already encountered, though some require you to be rather quick on your feet, so do not underestimate some of the latter ones.

While the other is at RawCritics with a "Rental" rating:
The most rewarding aspect to this extra content are the new potions which change your appearance and a new store called (box of secrets). This store is managed by what one can only describe as Mrs. Crabtree from South Park dressed up as a Geisha. That woman is a mess but her store is actually fun. It is set up like a scavenger hunt where you provide a certain number of goods to reveal your prize in the box. It's a surprise, if the name (box of secrets) didn't give that away. You then have to travel through Albion to find these things. Some of the prizes are actually useful and that is the catch-22. To determine if you should buy this extra content or not, you need to ask yourself, did I beat the game in 5 hours or 50? For those of you who love the extra quests and spent most of your time on building a family and wealth, this content is for you. For those of you that played the game just for the sake of playing it, skip this download. It is purely for fan-boys only. If you didn't skip work or school to purchase Fable 2 this extra content is not for you.
