Rise of the Argonauts Peek #2

RPG Vault's second Rise of the Argonauts "peek" feature profiles the god Hermes and what role he plays in Liquid Entertainment's action RPG.
While Hermes appreciates a battle of words, even the sharpest tongue can't compare to the bite of cold bronze. In combat, his followers are nimble, lithe and lethal. With a strong focus on mobility - striking swiftly, evading attacks, and darting around enemy defenses - they naturally favor the speed and agility of the sword.

As the Warden of Zeus, Jason has learned to use each of the classic weapons of the ancient world - the sword, spear, and mace. While the other types encourage him to confront an enemy head-on, smashing through shields or patiently awaiting an opening, the flexibility of the blade allows him to dart to an enemy's exposed flank and to deliver a crippling agile strike before the final blow, which is often a brutal slash to the neck or waist, severing the foe in two with a bloody flourish; Hermes loves a good show.

The ultimate weapon of Hermes is a blade he fashions for Jason from the very mists of Saria. Flawlessly balanced and sharper than any sword ever crafted by mortal hands, the Wind Shear cleaves through flesh and bone as it were air. Moreover, Hermes empowers this blade to confer his god powers as Jason kills opponents in battle - from the deadly ranged torrents of Wind Strike to the time-shifting power of Speed of the Herald.
