Mass Effect PC Reviews

If you're still undecided on whether or not you want to pick up the PC version of BioWare' Mass Effect, there are four more reviews for you to check out. The first is at ActionTrip with a score of 8.8/10:
Mass Effect will undoubtedly be patched some time in the near future, which should hopefully resolve the frame-rate issues. When that happens and when BioWare finally releases the downloadable content, Mass Effect PC should be an even more rewarding package for gamers.

In its current state, it comes highly recommended too. Occasional technical glitches and frame-rate drops are a small price to pay for a genuinely thrilling space saga. Whether you've already played the game on the Xbox 360 or if you are completely unfamiliar with the universe, Mass Effect PC is a title you simply have to own.

The second is at G4 with a score of 5/5:
Mass Effect may not have originally been conceived for PC, but you'd never know it based on how well it plays, sounds, and looks. It's a must-have title for any RPG fan who missed out on the original version or who couldn't get past some of its control and interface quirks. Computer owners are getting everything found in the Xbox 360 game, including achievements and online leaderboards, but with better visuals, smoother action, and a more streamlined interface. That the game rings up at a lower retail price and offers the first expansion pack as a free download is simply icing on the cake.

The third is at The Guardian with a score of 4/4:
From the off, the script and graphics impress, especially the character's facial expressions. Squint ever so slightly and you could be watching TV. Combat is smoother on the PC than the 360, and unlike the majority of console to PC conversions, Mass Effect actually feels made for the keyboard and mouse. Worth playing if you have the 360 incarnation? Probably not. There is no new content and the side missions are as patchy as before. But for big-budget-game-starved PC owners? Mass Effect is a must.

And the fourth is at PC Zone/CVG with a score of 9.2/10:
Considering you can complete the game a second time to try and get different endings, achievements and sexual partners, there's at least two plays here for both action and RPG fans alike.

If you are a fan of what BioWare's done in the past, like action with a hefty dose of sci-fi and want something new, or just like playing a really good game, then you owe it to yourself to pick up this fantastic title.
