The pretty prestigious GDC Awards nomations have been announced, and Portal and BioShock run away with a majority of 5 nominations each. Important nominations:
BioShock: Best Game Design, Best Visual Art, Best Writing, Best Audio, Game of the Year

Mass Effect: Best Game Design, Best Writing, Best Audio, Innovation

The Witcher: Best Debut

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords: Best Handheld Game, Best Downloadable Game
It is also worth a footnote that the Escapist's Zero Punctuation will be producing "video entertainment" for the awards.
