Hellgate: London Boss Profiles

IGN has published a new feature that takes a closer look at some of the hellish bosses we'll be going up against in Flagship Studios' Hellgate: London. The mighty Shulgoth:
A beast of some renown, enough so to attain name and rank within the dark legion, Shulgoth guards a Hellrift located off the Templar's own Covent Garden Station. These Rifts are used by the Demon as staging grounds for localized Demonic incursions. Hell literally pours from tears in the very fabric of our universe - tears that bind the natural to the unnatural. And there stands the beast.

Fast, strong, implacable, Shulgoth uses spike and tooth and claw to stun enemies so that he might better cleave them in two. Single-minded as only a taker of flesh can be, Shulgoth lusts for blood and little else.

Fortunately, its most destructive attack is also its greatest weakness, for when Shulgoth draws his massive clawed arm back to strike down and impale inept foes, it often embeds its own instrument of destruction into the very ground. Prying free such a mighty weapon leaves the beast open for a sustained, direct assault. But such attacks will not be enough to level the villain. Shulgoth's endurance is...terrifying. Its unholy flesh, bound in leather and chain, is capable of resisting even the strongest of assaults.

Run and run fast should you come upon Shulgoth unprepared.
