Next Generation has compiled a list of what they feel were the top 20 games on display at this year's E3. Three RPGs made the list, including Fallout 3 (#10), BioShock (#9), and Mass Effect (#5). An excerpt about the latter:

What is it? An epic space RPG from the makers of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Baldur's Gate.

Why you should care: First of all, see above. These guys know how to make a great RPG. The trailer didn't reveal much gameplay, mainly concentrating on cut scenes that showed plenty of action and drama. But we expect the scope of this game to be huge and can't wait to see how Bioware will be using its top-tier storytelling skills in Mass Effect.
