The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles Interview

Killer Betties has published a three-page interview with Bethesda Softworks design director Bruce Nesmith about their soon-to-be-released The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles expansion pack.
Q: Beyond enemy types, there also looks like there will be some new armor as well in the game. What can you tell us about the new armor? What is/are the names of them? How you went about designing the new armor? What class is it (heavy, light)? Etc.

A: There are a couple of sets of both heavy and light armor for the player to acquire. We wanted to create sets that were appropriate to the world in which they're found. For instance, in the Shivering Isles, the player will spend some time in a new dungeon set that is actually the roots of some of the giant trees that grow in Sheogorath's realm. Inside these roots, the player can find Amber that can be made into light armor. Similarly, Madness ore can be made into heavy armor. Both can be used to make different types of weapons.

Amber and Madness armor are available in several varieties, each more powerful than the previous. The most powerful are better than either Glass or Daedric armor. The same is true for the weapons.
