Hellgate: London Interview

eToychest was able to track down Flagship Studios CEO Bill Roper to learn more about the company's plans for the multiplayer component in Hellgate: London. Toward the end, they even uncover that the game will feature classes within the three previously announced factions:
Q: Going back a bit, in November Flagship unveiled the Hunter faction, which addresses the concerns that some players had voiced about wanting to play the game as a more pure FPS experience. So was this faction created merely as a rush of public outcry, or was the Hunter planned from the onset?

A: The Hunter, as with the Templar and the Cabalist, was actually there from the beginning. It was a real validation to us to see that these were the initial three archetypes that players also wanted to see in the game, so it was always very hard not to say, (Yeah! We're right with you on this!) from the onset.

Q: So given the summer release, is this the final class this is planned, or should we expect more secrets to be unveiled in the near future?

A: A key distinction I want to make is that the Templar, Cabalist and Hunter are considered Factions in Hellgate: London. They represent storyline philosophies and groups as well as overall gameplay concepts. Within each faction there will be multiple classes that focus on specific elements of that faction. So yes, there is still more to be revealed!

Interesting.
