World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Reviews

Another trio of online reviews for Blizzard's World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade expansion pack are now available. The first is at eToychest with an overall score of 86%:
Let's face it: if you're one of the millions of people playing World of Warcraft right at this moment, you are basically going to buy this expansion. You're going to install it, complain that for 40 bucks they could have at least put the game on a DVD instead of four CDs, and you are probably going to like it with few reservations. Burning Crusade's most grievous crime is that it totally invalidates the years of work you've put into pimping out your toons, but if you can handle looking like you can't dress yourself in the morning, the new equipment you'll be earning will be a salve on the wound. Some might complain that the expansion pack is nearly the full price of a standalone game, but there's a lot of expansion packed in for WoW devotees to enjoy.

The second is at Eurogamer with an overall score of 8/10:
...there is no denying that The Burning Crusade is a triumph of design - in so much that it is everything which made World of Warcraft popular, fun and exciting, distilled down and refined by the developers after years of experience. The two new races represent the most polished and enjoyable way to enter the world of Azeroth - or, indeed, to enter the world of MMOGs in general - which makes The Burning Crusade's low-level content into an extremely welcome addition to an already excellent RPG.

And the third is at GameSpot with no overall score (yet):
A week after the release of The Burning Crusade, Azeroth is thankfully returning to something resembling normal. The starting areas for the new races are now a joy rather than a chore to play through, the auction-house prices on jewelcrafting materials are steadily deflating, and quests and PVP objectives in Hellfire Peninsula can be enjoyed as Blizzard intended. Numerous level-70 characters with flying mounts and new epic gear can already be seen in the skies above Outlands, and those of us who are still working toward the magic number are moving from new region to new region like a plague of locusts--devouring Blizzard's bandwidth everywhere we go.
