Mage Knight: Apocalypse Diary #3

A third diary for Mage Knight: Apocalypse is now available on RPG Vault, this time with Namco senior producer Dave Georgeson revealing why he feels the game possesses a lot of personality.
Mage Knight: Apocalypse has personality in spades. We originally started by drawing on the rich war game universe of Mage Knight. All of the kingdoms, races and political intrigues make for a deep background to play upon for an RPG. So, we set out to build a story that would let us partake in a lot of that history and intrigue - drawing us deep into the fabric of Mage Knight, and giving us ample settings to explore in our game.

But the story... well... it got big. Really big. So big that telling it all from one character's point of view was just too troublesome. A dwarf from the Black Powder Rebellion just couldn't be expected to have any background on the Vampiric Civil War that trashed some of the Houses of the Necropolis, and we definitely needed to tell those stories (and many more!) in order to create the epic we wanted to present, and to bring Mage Knight: Apocalypse fully to life.
