Dungeons & Dragons Online Interview, Part One

Computer Games Online has posted the first portion of a new Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach interview with an unnamed member of the game's development team.
Q: What has been the overall response to Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach (DDO)? How has its success influenced your focus on new content?

A: We succeeded in building a game that stayed true to the D&D® license and as a result, there has been a tremendous response to DDO. To date, over 300K units have been sold in the US and Europe and we are looking forward to launching in Japan and China later this year. We've been developing and operating MMOs for a long time and we pay very close attention to how the community plays and responds to our games. The successful launch of the game attracted a lot of people into the world of Stormreach and provided us with a wealth of information that we use to help determine what types of content to add to the game. For example, our players asked us to provide more solo content and we responded by adding a new (solo) mode to our adventures.
