Auto Assault Trading Card Game Interview

RPG Vault had the opportunity to sit down with Worlds Apart senior game designer Paul Dennen and president Scott Martins for a lengthy interview about the Auto Assault Trading Card Game they've developed.
Q: What's your game's appeal to players of online worlds in general and Auto Assault in particular? And how about for those who are into and not into trading card games?

Paul Dennen: For MMO fans, the TCG is a nice way to kick back and play a couple relaxing games after logging time on their MMO characters. Then, there's also the appeal of the Hood Ornament tourneys - win an exclusive and unique hood ornament for your MMO vehicle by winning a one of our monthly Hood Ornament TCG tournaments!

The appeal for TCG gamers is simple; it's a good, fun card game. You don't have to know anything about the MMO to play and enjoy the card game.

For gamers who aren't into TCGs because they are too expensive, I'd say that Auto Assault TCG is very skill-based, and the starter decks are tourney-ready. Auto Assault TCG is one of the least expensive TCGs ever created.

Scott Martins: We're pretty happy about the crossover appeal of the game. We designed it to be fairly accessible and quick to pick up, but to have longer-term strategy and depth to hold interest. At whatever level you play it, it's a blast.
